What is Ping Pong?

Ping pong is a sport played on a table with a short net across the middle. It is a recreational and competitive game played by two or more people. The goal is to hit the ball onto the other player’s side of the net.

To start the game, a player must serve the ball. After the serve, the player must change ends and hit the ball again. Every shot in ping pong must hit the table on both sides of the net.

A ping pong paddle is a rubber bat, usually with a sponge-less texture. The knobby texture gives the bat its name. These are also called pips out.

A ping pong ball is slightly larger than a table tennis ball. The balls are white or orange depending on the surface. They are also made of celluloid or plastic.

A ping pong table is a table that is at least 2.5 feet high and 1.525 meters wide. If it is an official tournament ball, it is also white. In general, the color of the ball makes it easier to see.

Unlike the table tennis game, ping pong is an indoor game. It requires little initial skill, and it is not as hard as other sports. However, it does take practice to become a good player.

Players can use their own bats or use other players’ bats. Unlike a tennis player, they don’t try to make the opponent miss. Rather, they want to control the ball as much as possible.
